First Guest Post - Coco and Asian Pear/Peach Cobbler

These photos are from one of pandagrub's readers. This panda is from New York. The panda's name is Coco.
Coco is enjoying an Asian pear and peach cobbler.

Doesn't that cobbler look delicious? Can you believe that after his owner took these pictures he ate it all!

If any other readers would like me to post their pandagrub photos, please leave me a message in the comments section.

Two Pies One Dinner

This week for Sunday's special dinner, I have made chicken pot pie and chocolate raspberry tartlets for dessert.  I used two kinds of pie crusts for these dishes: regular and mini.

This  panda is Fortune Cookie! He is crimping the pie crusts together by using a fork before putting the chicken pot pie in the oven. This works much better than using paws.........  Look at the finished product!  Yum!  Can you see the veggies and chicken inside?

Fortune Cookie used mini graham cracker crusts filled with chocolate pudding to make this tartlet.  After decorating them with juicy raspberries, he is shaking powdered sugar on them (for better presentation).  Look at that cute little paw shaking that mini colander!

Fortune Cookie is now enjoying his delicious, delectable, and divine raspberry chocolate tartlet!

Biscuit Redemption

I decided to try making biscuits one more time.  Last time they turned out flat and burned.  They were hard and tasted terrible.  I tried again using white flour instead of wheat flour and I used more baking powder AND baking soda.  They turned out flakey, fluffy, and golden brown. The biscuits were delicious, too.

This is Kettlecorn. He gave a rave review about  our biscuits!  He said they were so good that they were "indescribable!"

Hey Kettlecorn!  Paws off the biscuits!

Cheese Please!

On today's menu, the pandas are enjoying fresh, homemade mac and cheese, seared pork chops, and stir fried string beans.  We were going to serve homemade biscuits, but unfortunately they refused to rise and got very burnt. Here are some of the pandas' reviews:
This is Hua Mei.  Hua Mei thinks that the string beans look fresh and delicious.  They are  stir fried with just a dash of salt and pepper.

Look at that crispy topping. It was crispy because I put on grated parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs on the top. Hua Mei said, "The mac and cheese had a nice crispy topping, but that the macaroni still maintained a nice, gooey, cheesy, taste."

This panda above is named Stuboom.  He's sad because the biscuits are burnt and flat.  Don't let his smile fool you.  He is sad deep down inside.  Sorry, Stuboom!  We'll try again another time.  We know you love flakey, fluffy, golden brown biscuits!

On the picture above Stuboom is enjoying a nice cold strawberry banana smoothie. Now he really is happy..........

What a great lunch lunch Stuboom is eating! He just added a pork chop and now has a well balanced meal!

Welcome to Pandagrub!

Welcome to pandagrub!  This blog is about two things that I love:  pandas and good food.  I will try and post a few dishes every Sunday.  Stay tuned for my first post.
